Dave built this pop bottle rocket to launch with his students. We, along with our neighbors, took the rocket to make a few practice launches at the school yard across the street. The rocket flew perfectly, soared really high, deployed its parachute flawlessly, and made a perfect landing....right onto a tree branch. The rocket never made it to school. Some say it was rescued from the tree days later.
Dave wanted to make a pie for his mentor teacher to say thanks for a great experience in his class this last semester. Having never made a mixed berry pie before, Dave decided he needed to make a practice pie first...
Unfortunately for me and my waistline, that means Dave and I have to eat the practice pie. How is a girl supposed to stay in shape with a husband who bakes 2 pies a day?!
