Sun!

Today was the first day IN A LONG TIME that we had some sunshine in Juneau so we had to get out and enjoy it. Emily and I went down to Sandy Beach with Dave (Dad) to let the girls run.

Of course, I can't go down to the beach without practicing a little crane technique.

We came across a couple of antique shoes - amazing what the tide will reveal. I pictured someone walking on this same beach a hundred years ago in this very shoe. Pretty cool!

The old pumphouse is always great for photographs.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We wanted to tell everyone how much we love and miss you all! We hope your Valentine's Day was special. As you can see Dave and I both wore pink for the occasion...Dave, however, chose a more brilliant shade than I did :)

Sandy Beach

We went for a walk with Dave (Dad) and "the girls" on Sandy Beach last Saturday. This is one of the only "real" beaches in Juneau. The "sand" is actually gold mine tailings from the Treadwell gold mine which was in operation in the late 18oo's through the early 1900's. You can't really see the sand as it is covered in snow.

Juneau Bears

I'm just wading through some footage we took at work this summer and put this video together. I've got more that I've been posting on YouTube as well.
